Last Thursday, Spa hosted the division 18 county league semi-final between Spa B and Duagh B. This was a highly entertaining game that went right down to the wire. Spa started the quickest when Josh Buckley netted the first of our four goals from our first attack. Spa tagged on a few points, but Duagh kept in touch with some beautiful scores. When Spa struck for our second goal, we took a commanding lead into the break with the score Spa 2-7 to Duagh 0-6. Again, Spa started the brightest in the second half, pushing the lead out to 9 points. Duagh weren't finished, and within two minutes had hit the net three times to leave the game all square. For the next few minutes of the game, Spa and Duagh traded scores. This game was anyone's for the taking. However, Spa kicked on in the last few minutes to score 1-1 to take the game by four.
