Spa u14A 3-4 Moyvane 2-8 

Spa U14s A team welcomed Moyvane to Spa this evening in a highly competitive and entertaining game of football. Spa playing against the wind in the first half struggled to make any impact on the scoreboard, with James Brosnan getting our only score. We did, however, have a few goal chances, but we saw the ball just go past the goalpost on a few occasions. At the break, we only trailed 1-5 to 0-1 thanks to some great defending. 

Playing with the wind in the second period, we started to dominate possession, and we started to get the scores. Aidan Hickey hit the back of the net three times, and with further points by Brosnan, Noah Murphy, and Jack Gleeson, we hit the front and had a lead of 4 points. Moyvane, however, found another gear and, with the help of a penalty, went into a 2 point lead. Brosnan hit another point to leave just the one between us. We had chances to get the draw but unfortunately couldn't get equaliser. Northern Gaels away next up for this group in 2 weeks time.

Once again our lads battled throughout the whole game but just came up a bit short on the day. Thanks to Moyvane for travelling and also thanks to the ref.
