On a bright Tuesday evening, the U12 Spa ladies travelled to Castleisland to face Castleisland Desmonds in what proved to be an exciting and competitive match. Spa arrived with an impressive panel of 24 eager and enthusiastic players, while Castleisland fielded a squad of 16.
From the first whistle, Spa made full use of their numbers, rotating players frequently to maintain energy and tempo throughout the game. The girls showed great teamwork, they supported one another on and off the ball. Their strong panel depth allowed them to keep fresh legs on the pitch and maintain pressure on the Castleisland defence.
Castleisland Desmonds, however, were not to be underestimated. They put together some fine attacking plays and tested the Spa defence on multiple occasions.
The match was a great display of underage football, filled with effort, spirit, and sportsmanship.
Well done to all involved – a great outing for the Spa girls and a promising sign for the season ahead!
